Introduction Edit

Burdened by their race’s past, tieflings walk through life haunted by their dark and sinister bloodline. Their devilish appearance has prevented many from earning the trust of their human neighbors, making them very solitaire. Thus, many tieflings have come to rely on dark magic and guile in order to survive, making them excellent Warlocks. Their infernal heritage also allows them a predisposition towards magic and many tieflings become powerful Wizards.

Many tieflings call Neverwinter their home and will fight fiercely for their home and the chance to finally earn the trust of their fellow citizens.

Race OriginsEdit

Tieflings come from a very much feared race of devils, called the Shadow Reapers. The Shadow Reapers are known for terrorizing many farms out towards the East, but became extinct after Tiamat came. According to legend, Tiamat and the Shadow Reapers where good partners, after they both saw that the other liked to terrorize and kill too, but something happened, and Tiamat got in a disagreement with the Shadow Reapers. Tiamat wiped out the race that she had gotten along so well with. It is because of this legend that the tiefling is feared by most.

Physical CharacteristicsEdit

Tieflings stand at roughly human height, and generally carry a slighter build.  Their skin ranges from standard human shades to deep reds, and their eyes are crimson, white, black, silver or gold.  Large, thick horns of various styles adorn their heads, and they possess long, non-prehensile tails - four to five feet in length.  Aside from these obviously non-human features, Tieflings also have sharp, pointed teeth, and the hair that grows behind their horns can surface in shades of dark blue, purple or red, in addition to basic human colours.

AbilitiesEdit

PsychologyEdit

Tiefling are descendants of noble houses of a magnificent human empire which challenged the empire of great dragon on equal footing. Thus they are very proud of their heritage and self-reliant. In general, they believe more in themselves than any Astral deity. Due to the taint, they find it hard to be accepted easily but are not shunned by the society in general. Most tieflings are ambitious and end up either actively opposing the Ashmadai cultists or joining them.

TriviaEdit

Since 4e, Tiefling is not a result of a devil being an ancestor unlike 3e. Tiefling are just descendents of accursed human nobles who made a pact for dark powers. Also the pact is no longer valid so "A noble and selfless" tiefling is no longer an anomaly. It is as ordinary as a 'noble and selfless' human.
